What to Expect at Your Consultation

Choosing implant treatment is a significant step, and we’re here to make your first visit comfortable, informative, and pressure-free. Your consultation is an opportunity to get answers, explore your treatment options, and determine whether implant-retained dentures or dental implants are right for you.

During Your First Visit

We’ll Get to Know You

Every smile has a story. We’ll take the time to learn about your concerns, your goals, and how missing or failing teeth may be affecting your daily life. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and share what’s most important to you.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Dr. Strickland will perform a thorough examination, review any necessary digital X-rays or 3D imaging, and evaluate your oral health to determine whether you’re a candidate for implant-retained treatment.

Personalized Treatment Plan

If implant treatment is right for you, we’ll walk you through your recommended treatment plan, explain your options, discuss your expected timeline, review available financing solutions, and answer every question before you make any decisions.

Please Bring the Following to Your Consultation

  • A list of your current medications

  • Any recent dental X-rays or 3D scans (if available)

  • Your completed patient forms (if applicable)

  • A valid photo ID

There’s No Pressure

Your consultation is designed to help you understand your options—not pressure you into making a decision. Our goal is to provide personalized recommendations, answer your questions, and give you the information you need to make the choice that’s right for you.

If IV Sedation Is Recommended

If your treatment plan includes IV sedation, our team will provide detailed instructions well before your procedure. Patients should avoid eating or drinking for eight hours before their appointment and arrange for a responsible adult to drive them home afterward. Follow the specific instructions provided by your treating team. We’ll review all pre- and post-operative instructions with you so you feel fully prepared every step of the way.

Existing X-Rays or Imaging

If you’ve recently had dental X-rays or 3D imaging taken by another provider, please let us know before your appointment. Our team can often obtain those records on your behalf or take any additional images needed during your consultation.
