Aaron Strickland

Meet Dr. Strickland
For Dr. Aaron Strickland, dentistry has always been about more than restoring teeth, it’s about restoring confidence, comfort, and quality of life.
Growing up in southern Indiana, Dr. Strickland was born with a cleft palate and spent much of his childhood in doctors’ and dentists’ offices, undergoing multiple procedures and surgeries. Those experiences gave him a unique perspective on what it’s like to be the patient. He remembers not only the fear and uncertainty that often came with those appointments, but also the sacrifices his parents made to ensure he received the care he needed.
Today, those experiences continue to shape the way he practices dentistry. His goal has always been to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for, especially those who may have spent years avoiding treatment because of fear, embarrassment, or uncertainty.
Dr. Strickland earned two bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He then completed a General Practice Residency through the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he received advanced training while working in several Indianapolis dental clinics.
Passionate about restoring smiles, Dr. Strickland earned his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2013 and completed advanced training in Intravenous (IV) Sedation in 2006. Through Gateway, he focuses on implant-retained dentures and dental implant treatment, helping patients regain the ability to smile with confidence, enjoy their favorite foods, and improve their quality of life.
Beyond the office, Dr. Strickland is the Founder and CEO of White River Dental and has participated in numerous Dentistry From the Heart events, providing free dental care to those in need throughout the community. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and traveling whenever he gets the opportunity.
